But how do you create a new dream home when you already built one? And you can really get a soul in such a big house?

Revisiting the container house in Tranås, since last time it has been camouflaged to match the surrounding forest! We also revisit the small fire station in Österlen that now has grown out if its original shell and Anne gets bad news from Amber and Uffe who participated last season. And finally, Gert and Karin Wingårdh have finished their new built barn house on their farm in Äggdal.

On a beautiful spot by a forest lake, Jon and Jenny are tearing down their current house to make room for their grand dream house that Jenny has drawn on her own during maternity leave. However, it looks more like a child’s drawing if you ask Gert Wingårdh! But Jon and Jenny are not giving up, how hard can it really be to draw and build a house?

Exactly 100 years ago the chapel in Strömsberg was built, and now it’s being sold by the Swedish church. The buyers are Josefin and Ilias, who want to turn it into their summer house. The run down chapel will now be transformed from a church to a cosy family home, if that is even possible?

Linus Fernström was an elite ice hockey player but was injured during a game and was told that he will probably never play ice hockey again. Instead Linus decides to fulfil his dream of drawing his own house with a magnificent view for him and his family. It turns out to be a house that Gert Wingårdh has a hard time to believe Linus has drawn on his own without any prior knowledge.

Andrea and Jonathan think their live too large, but most of all too expensive - despite the fact that they live in a 30 square meter student flat. Andrea is studying to be an architect and wants to build them a tiny house that’s just 17 square meters! They don’t know yet where in the world they want to live, but with a house on wheels the sky is the limit, or is it?

In Kassjö outside Umeå, Erik and Laura want to build a house with an unusual technique – despite the fact that they have never built a house before. Their future home is to be built with straw bales and clay, and they have been preparing for years. The ambitious goal is not only a sustainable house but also an entirely new life stile – they want to become completely ,self sufficient. But one thing they do worry about – will they have the strength to complete it all?

The dream about a sturdy house built in solid wood has long been set aside to make every day life work as half the family has ADHD. But there is a lot of love and finally Andreas and Jennie is set to go, high on a hill with a view over the river Viskan.

Anne Marit and Frode from Oslo have madly fallen in love with Värmland - and have grand plans for what is to become their new hytte by the glimmering lake. With the help of a famous architect from Norway, the dream is not only to build a cabin but maybe the most beautiful house in Värmland?

When the octagonal manor Södra Björnstorp burns down the whole community grieve the loss of the unique building. Only the outer walls from the 18th century remain and it is uncertain if the house can be rebuilt. But for Tuula and her children there is no alternative! But is it possible to recreate this historic 18th century building now, 300 years later?

And for less money as well. Now the magnificent townhouse from 1901 will become more distinguished and also leads to many new discoveries for the new owners.

After numerous apartment renovations in Stockholm, Gabriel and Elin have now found their dream house - one of the desirable small row houses in Gamla Enskede. The plan is to enhance the historical values of the house but since it has such a small footprint Gabriel and Elin also want to dig into the basement to maximise the space - but then Gert sounds a note of warning!

When Jette heard that the incredible Villa Solbacken from the 1880’s were to be torn down, she put in an offer and bought it! But the old summer house outside Sundsvall could not remain there - no problem, because Jette wants to live down in Blekinge anyway. For the old house it becomes a sensational trip about 1000 km south and for Jette it’s a dream come true - if she manages to pull it off!

After many years of moving around in Stockholm it is time for Aleks to return home to Malmö to create a stable environment for himself and his two daughters. And finally Aleks gets to do exactly what he wants! The apartment at Gamla Väster will undergo a total makeover and become a vivid colour explosion where the social spaces are at the core - very far from the white homes he has lived in before. But to go his own way turns out to be a lot more difficult than Aleks had imaged.

Husdrömmar celebrates 10 years and throws a big celebration party with flashbacks and revisits to some of the most memorable house projects and particpants from previous seasons. We also follow Jette's continued journey with Villa Solbacken, a house she saved from being demolished in Sundsvall and had it moved all the way to Blekinge. Now Jette is aiming to complete the project and also open a café in the villa.

We meet former participants who are now finally finished with their projects. Or are they? And how are they, now that the house project is finished? Is everything working as it should in Erik and Laura's round straw bale house in Umeå? How many tomatoes is there room for in Johan and Sylvia's nature house in Lerum? And have Mea and Bruno in Fyledalen finally moved into their small little house on the farm?

Kim and Erik dream big. Together with Kim's sister and her husband and three children they have bought an old family farm in Dalarna consisting of 13 buildings in various sizes. Of all the houses, Kim and Erik decide to make the stable into their home. Part of the building can be saved, but how do you join together old and new parts and how easy is it actually to start up a modern family farm?

Vici and Peter long for the simple life. They are building their allotment house with a walking distance between their apartment and the preschool at Hisingen. They decide to do the exact opposite of what Gert says you shouldn't do with the construction of the house. Because you have to challenge yourself. And who cheap can you actually build using reclaimed building material?

When they move in, at least 40 people will be living together in Malmö. But before that can happen they have to renovate what once was a mental hospital into a collective house. The idea is that it will be a home where the community spirit is central, but where the individual also can take place. There are plenty of ideas, but how will it turn out and will they be able to agree when nearly 3000 sqm are under construction?

When a 103-year-old relative decides to give away their inheritance in advance, Simon and Therése suddenly have the opportunity to build their dream house in Trångsund outside Stockholm. It is a hilly and steep plot but instead of blasting away the bedrock they decide to build with nature and let the mountain dictate what the house will look like.

Anna and Joakim gladly does the opposite. When they started to look for a house on Tjörn eight years ago they first and foremost looked for a garden as they are both gardeners. Now that both the garden and the family have outgrown their small cottage on the lot they want to build a large and nice house, but it has to be completely adapted to the garden. How do you do that?

In this year's premiere, we return to some of our former house dreamers who continue their building adventures. Torkel and Ayla in Onsala face the challenge of completing their wooden pool - but will it really handle 30 tons of water? Amber and Uffe, who we remember from the old eternit house in Västra Klappe, never seem to run out of new projects. And in Raby we see Negin again, who is now ready to take a bigger hold on his charming general store.

Peter loves the Swedish mountains, with the silence and the stillness. There he has decided to go "all in" and build a log house for himself and his little dog Berit all by himself. Farthest at the end of the road in western Härjedalen. It simply cannot get any quieter than this. Now all that remains is to finish construction during the few months when there is no snow in Ljungdalen.

Join Petra and Olliver as they transform an old 400 square meter school into their dream home. They throw themselves over everything from floor to ceiling and create a colorful home. Olliver, who has a penchant for inventions, designs, among other things, a unique toilet paper holder. Their sense of quality even impresses Gert! But the high standard comes with a cost.
